A Quick Note

Is it not amazing what one will do to postpone doing homework? I actually don't have anything meaningful to say today but have somehow convinced myself that I should post something - just a quick hello. The bane of my existence currently is an essay. One I have known about for months yet still manages to require a LOT of work before Wednesday. Not a little lot, a lot lot.

I actually set aside my entire weekend to complete it. What did I do instead? Well, the dishes for one, I went out and bought a new car I don't really need and certainly cannot afford. Went to a movie. I even did laundry for crying out loud! Desperate times call for desperate measures.

"But Canucklehead, how bad can it be?" you ask. Well - let's start with the subject: The Role of the Narrative Voice in Duncan Campbell Scott’s The Onondaga Madonna and E. Pauline Johnson’s A Cry From an Indian Wife. I know - I know. Sound awesome. Before you all rush over here to help I should warn you that it is not as exciting as it sounds - but it does have it's moments. Coming up next - Kipling. Oh I know - the Post-Colonialists dream! Ugh. What have I gotten myself into ....

On an unrelated note, it's almost been a few months now since I've done a complete overhaul on the site and am starting to feel that itch again. Whether you are a first time visitor or one of my dear friends, I ask that if and when you get the chance that you give the entire site a once-over and let me know any feedback. What works? What does not? You won't hurt my feelings. I've tried to be completely upfront that I have no idea as to what I'm doing. I feel it is getting better but certainly has a long way to go. I've just got a handful of Canucklehead.ca magnets in (can be bought HERE) and will helpfully send out a few to the best suggestions. Anyway, thanks in advance and wish me luck. I'll be back in a week or so.

Keep your stick on the ice.
